The Nigerian entertainment industry is one which has grown remarkably in the last decade, although that didn’t come with a scandal here and there.
Thenet.ng, has compiled a list of the most ground breaking ones.
1. Wizkid’s baby mama drama:
Wizkid s’ex scandal started early in his career, partly due to his tender age.
The pop star had fathered a child when he was 21 years old, but denied the story for months, but later went on to accept faith – that he is a father to be. Wizkid has been seen around his son, Boluwatife a lot recently.

Perhaps the one with the most adverse effect. Wande Coal has “struggled” to reach his career height since an alleged photo of himself surfaced on social networking site, Twitter in 2010.

Fuji music ace Obesere has been free of scandal for decades since his rise to stardom in the 90s. The musician was accused of r*pe by his girlfriend Olanike Olaiya.

6. Love triangle starring 9ice, Ruggedman, Toni Payne
9ice accused fellow musician Ruggedman of having an affair with his ex-wife Toni Payne.
9ice claimed Ruggedman had an on/off affair with Toni Payne during and after their time together. 9ice and Toni have a child together.

7. MoCheddah and eLDee Twitter nu’de scandal
Some but not all of “Nigerian twitter” have slept in 2011 when eLDee tweeted at MoCheddah’s twitter “‘If people here with us see it, just say one of the guys also in the hotel posted it to you”
What followed that tweet was a n’aked photo of a Mo’Cheddah look alike, tweeted from MoCheddah to Eldee. Both party claimed they got hacked.
Some but not all of “Nigerian twitter” have slept in 2011 when eLDee tweeted at MoCheddah’s twitter “‘If people here with us see it, just say one of the guys also in the hotel posted it to you”
