President Zuma congratulates Cassper Nyovest

Cassper Nyovest has got the thumbs up from the highest office in the land, that of South African president, Jacob Zuma.
The SA hip-hop star made history on Saturday October 31, 2015 when he #FilledUpTheDome for his concert, which made him the first South African artist to do so.

Jacob Zuma congratulated the rapper on being the first South African musician to fill the 20,000 seating capacity Dome in Northgate, Johannesburg, without the help of an international act.
‘We congratulate Cassper Nyovest for his tremendous success which has demonstrated the rich talent that exists within our country’s music industry especially amongst our youth,’ said President Zuma.
With a 20,000 strong crowd making its way to the venue in Johannesburg, Cassper not only filled the Dome, but achieved a dream he first mentioned at the beginning of the year.
He spoke openly about not getting all of the support that he wanted, and using his own cash to make his dream a reality.
‘Filling up the Dome was never about making money. It was about inspiring children to believe in their dream,’ he said during a closed press conference with SA media.
