Drake’s “Back to Back” is the First Diss Song Ever Nominated for a Grammy

Although the beef between Drake and Meek Mill has seemingly subsided but with the recent announcement of the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, Drake also scored five nominations as well.
What’s particularly interesting to note is that Drake’s nod for Best Rap Performance for “Back to Back” marks the first time The Recording Academy has recognized a “diss” record for a
major award.




Featuring stiff competition in the form of J. Cole, Fetty Wap, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj and Kanye West, it remains to be seen if Drake’s potential victory will come at an even greater cost to Meek Mill’s career.
