Lionel Messi Wins 2015/ 2016 FIFA Ballon D’Or Award

It was Messi’s fifth award having earlier won four back to back Ballon d’Or titles in 2009,2010,2011 and 2012 and 2015 triumph make him the only player in the history to have won the award 5 times. Ronaldo missed out on equaling messi haul as he finished third in the voting behind Lionel Messi and Neymar.

United States women team player Carli Lloyd wins the 2015 FIFA women player of the year award. She was part of the US women national team who won the world cup last year and she scored 3 goals in the final.
